Responsive web design enables content to adapt fluidly to different screen sizes and orientations. This eliminates the need to design and maintain separate websites for different devices or screen sizes.

There are also significant SEO benefits in having a responsive website versus redirecting to mobile-only versions. For example, Google explicitly recommends a single, responsive website as its preferred configuration for mobile websites.

Redirects are not used in responsive design, so don’t be misled by services that use redirects and claim to be responsive.

All versions of Optima Express provide a great experience on any device and screen size when used with a responsive WordPress theme. The IDX design is fully responsive and will automatically adjust for different devices and screen sizes. We also include a standalone mobile IDX website which you may use if your WordPress theme is not responsive.

Yes – a network installation is possible for a multisite. Each user client requires a separate Optima Express account with a corresponding registration key, entered in the client’s WordPress dashboard.

Our WordPress Theme Guide lists WordPress themes that are tested and maintained for compatibility with Optima by their respective developers. If you’re considering a theme that’s not listed in our WordPress Theme Guide, we recommend testing your theme with a free Optima Express trial and checking for theme compatibility issues discussed in our Optima Express Trial Checklist for WordPress.

Yes. Optima put listings directly on your domain, ensuring that your site gets full SEO credit.

We have two separate Knowledge Bases for Optima for WordPress (Optima Express) where you will find steps for installing the plugin and working with the features.

Web developers can use CSS to customize many elements of Optima IDX and Optima Express, such as background colors, button colors, font attributes, and more.

Our free trial accounts allow web developers to explore the display styling options available.

All of our paid accounts require IDX licensing approval from an MLS® System. You must be a real estate professional who is an active participant of an MLS® System to qualify for IDX licensing. Our free trial accounts do not require IDX licensing and use California listings provided for demonstration purposes only.

Our IDX Coverage page provides a list of MLS® Systems for which we currently offer service. We add new service for additional MLS® Systems on a regular basis, so please contact us about adding service if you don’t see your MLS® System listed.

All Optima Express plans include the following lead capture features which are prominently displayed with each listing:

• Schedule A Showing – Presents a form to schedule a showing for a property
• Save This Property – Creates a Property Organizer account for site visitors to save listings and searches on your site
• Email Alerts – Your site visitors can sign up for automated daily emails with new listings or price change notifications. You can also add Subscribers yourself in the account control panel.
